We are already operational in Madrid: recording and production sessions are running today, while the residential studio is being built.
02Manifesto
The Amber Note is being built around the essentials of recording: a room, a microphone, a take that means something, and the patience to wait for it. We work the organic way wherever the organic way sounds better — not out of nostalgia, but because a record made of real performances carries something that no amount of editing adds afterwards.
We would rather a record sound like the people who made it than like everything else released that week. That is a creative decision before it is a technical one, and it runs through the acoustics, the instruments and the way a session is run.
A studio should have a soul of its own. We are building ours.
03Where we are
We are preparing a residential recording studio and creative retreat in the north of Spain. The place has not been chosen yet, nothing has been built, and we would rather say so than show you renders as if they were rooms.
Right now: Madrid
Already operational — the retreat comes later.
04Production services
The production side of The Amber Note is already open: recording, production, mixing and songwriting sessions run from our studio in Madrid, 25 minutes from Plaza de Castilla by car or bus.
